A novel CdII coordination polymer with helical units and mix-connected network topology constructed form 2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylate and N-donor co-ligands

A novel 2D coordination polymer, formulated as [Cd2(Hpimdc)2(bpp)(H2O)]n (bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane, H3pimdc = 2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylate), has been hydro-thermally synthesized and structurally characterized, which shows unusual multifarious helical structures and (3,4)-connected network with (4.82)2(42.83.10) topology. The photoluminescent property and thermal stability of 1 were also discussed.
