Abstract :
A rare mercury coordination network containing left- and right-handed helical chains [HgL1Br2]n·nDMF (1) [L1 = 1,4-bis(3-pyridylaminomethyl)benzene] and dinuclear complex Hg2L2Br4(DMF)2] (2) [L2 = 1,4-bis(2-pyridylaminomethyl)benzene] have been synthesized. The thermal gravimetric and the solid-state luminescent properties of complexes were also investigated.
