Abstract :
Three new homochiral coordination polymers, Co2(1,3-bix)2(cam)2 (1), Cd2(1,2-bix)2(cam)2·(DMF)2 (2), and Co2(1,4-bix)(cam)2 (3) have been prepared by dual-ligand synthetic approach under hydro/solvothermal conditions, where 1,3-bix = 1,3-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)benzene, 1,2-bix = 1,2-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl) benzene, 1,4-bix = 1,4-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)benzene, and H2cam = (1R,3S)-(+)-camphoric acid. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that has a 1D structure with Co centers doubly bridged by cam and 1,3-bix ligands. has a 2D 44 network containing quadrate channels with a size of 10.6 × 12.4 Å. has a 3D framework structure with cobalt camphorate layers cross-linked by 1,4-bix ligands. Compound shows intense photoluminescence at room temperature.
