An Exceptionally Stable Pb(II) Arene Compound

A rare Pb(II) arene coordination polymer,[Pb(bimS)] (1; HbimSH = 2-mercaptobenzimidazole), has been solvothermally synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, XRD, TGA, PL(photoluminescene), and UV–vis diffuse reflective spectra. The band structure and the densities of states of the title compound have been calculated to further understand the relation between the structure and optical property.
