Abstract :
New amide functional tetrathiafulvalene ligands containing naphthyridine moiety (L1–L3) were synthesized. Further coordination reactions of these ligands with Re(CO)5Cl afford three interesting rhenium tricarbonyl complexes, ClRe(CO)3(L). Crystal structures of ClRe(CO)3(L1) (1) and ClRe(CO)3(L2) (2) have been determined. Electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of all compounds are investigated.
