Abstract
The solvothermal reaction of CuCl2·2H2O with 5-[4-(imidazol-1-yl)phenyl]tetrazolide (HL) generates a new three-dimensional (3D) coordination polymer, [Cu2(μ4-L)2]n. In title compound, tetrahedral Cu(I) ions are connected by μ4-L bridges into the 3D framework with a 4-connected SrAl2(sra) topology. The result of thermal analysis indicates that title compound is quite stable to heat. Excitation and luminescence data observed at room temperature show that title compound emits bright green fluorescence and possesses moderate fluorescence lifetimes (τ1 = 3.25 μs, τ2 = 8.22 μs at 556 nm).
