Abstract :
A new 3D metal–organic framework [Cd2(2,6-pydc)2(bime)(H2O)]n (1) containing 1D Cd − oxygen chains was synthesized by the self-assembly of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate (2,6-pydc), 1,6-Bis (imidazol) hexane (bime) and Cd(II) salt, which exhibits a 2-fold interpenetrated 3D entanglement architecture with attractive helical structure. In addition, photoluminescent and thermal properties of complex 1 have been investigated as well.
