Abstract :
The first monomeric mono- and binuclear clathrochelates with trifluoromethylgermanium-containing capping groups have been prepared by template condensation of cyclohexanedion-1,2-dioxime, diacetylazineoxime and diacetylmonoxime hydrazone with IGe(CF3)3 on an Fe2+ ion. The trigonal-antiprismatic geometry at the Fe2+ coordination polyhedron for the complexes obtained has been established from 57Fe Mössbauer and UV spectra.
