Abstract :
The uranyl complexes UO2(NO3)2L2 (L=DPEPA (1) diphenyl-N,N-ethylphosphine amide and TPPPO (2) tripiperidine oxide) have been prepared. Spectroscopic studies indicate that L is bound to the uranyl group via the phosphoryl oxygen atom. The crystal structures of (1) and (2) show a hexagonal-bipyramidal coordination about uranium. The luminescence properties of the compounds have been also investigated.
