Zinc mediated synthesis of a new heteroditopic ligand with hard and soft sites

A new heteroditopic, Schiffʹs base tripodal ligand has been synthesized by employing a thermodynamic template effect using Zn2+ as a template which leaves the pseudo cavity after the Schiffʹs base condensation.
