Abstract
Reaction between 2,6-(CF3)2C6H3Li (Ar′Li) and/or 2,4-(CF3)2C6H3Li (Ar″Li) and SbCl3 has afforded a series of new antimony(III) derivatives, which have all been identified in solution by 19F NMR spectroscopy. The unusual compound View the MathML sourceAr′Ar2″Sb has been isolated, and its crystal and molecular structures determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. View the MathML sourceAr′Ar2″Sb is only the second example of a compound containing three fluoroxyl ligands to be structurally characterised.
