Abstract :
The first Eu(III) tetraphenylimidodiphosphinate (Eu(tpip)3) ternary complex was synthesized. Addition of a 1,10-phnanthroline co-ligand to the coordination sphere results in dramatic ca. 45-fold luminescence enhancement in comparison with the parent Eu(tpip)3 complex. Here, we present X-ray analysis and photoluminescent properties of the ternary complex.
