Preparation and characterization of N,N-diacetatodithiocarbamato metal complexes with large negative charges

New metal complexes with N,N-diacetatodithiocarbamate (Ac2dtc3−), Na6[Co(Ac2dtc)3], Ba3[Co(Ac2dtc)3], Na4[Ni(Ac2dtc)2], Ba2[Ni(Ac2dtc)2], Na4[Cu(Ac2dtc)2] and Ba2[Cu(Ac2dtc)2], have been synthesized, and their molecular structures and spectroscopic properties have been characterized. The X-ray analysis of Ba3[Co(Ac2dtc)3]·16H2O confirmed a well-organized and rigid network among carboxyl groups of the complex anions, barium cations, and water molecules.
