Disruptive Events in the Life of Prostate Cancer

Two recent reports in Nature provide evidence for increasingly complex “disruptive” molecular alterations that occur during prostate cancer progression. They shed light on the intricacy of genetic changes that modulate PTENʹs control over the phosphoinositide 3-kinase pathway and prostate cancer progression, and identify new potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
