Abstract :
E-marketplaces are expanding in most sectors, particularly in the construction industry, contributing to a new effort aimed at improving its efficiency. However, such improvement requires the development of highly performing e-marketplaces, balancing the increase in competitiveness expressed by price decrease with higher requirements in terms of quality and reputation of suppliers. Currently, procurement is generally dominated by price, and suppliers tend to be unsatisfied. The performance of the marketplace tends to be hindered by the fact that the most reputable and high quality suppliers abandon the systems or platforms. Therefore, a key issue in promoting the sustainable performance of e-marketplaces is how to achieve such balance. In this approach, a new generation of multicriteria and reputation models is proposed to implement a balance between price competition, quality and reputation, thus achieving highly performing and sustainable e-marketplaces for the important area of public construction.
