Abstract :
The aim of this research was to verifying undesirable skeletal muscular compatibilities phenomenon of athletes that was done by study of knee alignment and comparing it with matched group who were non-athletes. Therefore, 30 soccer players with a mean of age, height, weight and history of sport respectively 25.96 ± 2.90 years, 176.5 ± 5.29 cm, 69.60 ± 6.17 kg and 10.54 ± 2.73 years and 30 non-athletes healthy men with a mean 25.13±2.64 years, 177.20 ± 6.02 cm, 76.33 ± 11.02 kg and without a history of sport were matched for age and sex with soccer players participated in this study. Subjects were assessed for genu recurvatum, Q angle, genu varum and genu valgum. Data were analyzed using by t-student and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results showed significant differences among genu recurvatum, Q angle and genu varum in two groups (p?0.05). The significant correlation wasn`t seen between any pair pair of variables in soccer players group. However many variables with greater control in more long-term protocol should be assessed. Therefore, more researches with more samples and more different research protocols to explain differences between the individual variables are necessary to reach.
