Abstract :
Diabetes is spreading worldwide and becoming a thorough threat in the third millennium. Glucose tolerance test, applied as a diagnostic test of diabetes in sport and medical physiology laboratories, hinged on the ability of persons regarding producing insulin and glucose metabolism. The principal purpose of this article is to propose a new approach to prevent and control diabetes. The method of present study is experimental- empirical. In order for independent variable to be studied, 12 aerobic training sessions were held concerning dependent variables, such as glucose tolerance response, insulin hormone, and resistance to insulin.19 students of Shahid Kalantari faculty in Mahmood Abad, being non-professional in sport fields, were selected as samples and divided randomly into two groups of control and experimental. After 4 weeks of progressive exercises to inform insulin level and potential changes in glucose tolerance test, all in 5 intervals of 0,30,60,90, and 120 minutes, another blood test was performed. To analyze data, SPSS software (version 18) and co-variance analysis test were used. With due attention to F value and meaningful level resulted from co-variance analysis test, no meaningful change was found in insulin level and glucose tolerance test (P < 0.05).it seems, based on findings of this study, more attempt is required to implement significant change in body reaction to glucose tolerance test and insulin resistance. Some factors intervening in carbohydrates metabolism and especially glucose, still are unknown; therefore, the authors considered presenting the results of research would be worthy and culminates in further studies because of very little possibility of conducting these kinds of researches.
