Abstract :
In this paper, based on the principle of complementary energy, the formulas for calculating the bending stresses, deflection and shear lag effect of the symmetric single-cell thin-walled composite laminated box beams are derived by means of variation calculus. The numerical analysis shows that the procedure in this paper has simple and reliable characteristics and provides a new approach for the practical calculation of laminated box beams under bending loads.
