Abstract :
This work investigates the influence of the cross-section geometry of corrugated laminates on the stiffnesses of a substitute plate model and on the anisotropy. A corresponding geometry parameterization is presented which allows several cross-sections to be analyzed. The studies are conducted with the help of the Finite Element Method using a unit-cell approach and a linear generalized plane-strain Finite Element (FE) formulation. The investigations show the design freedom that can be used for tailoring of initial stiffnesses by changing the corrugation geometry.
