Abstract :
Learning vocabulary through watching cartoons is a way which has been practiced by lots of EFL learners who want
to excel in English learning. The current study was set to measure improvement gains in vocabulary skill of EFL
learners using data from American cartoons. To this end, a cartoon plus a vocabulary test were given to 30
EFL learners. The finding from paired T-Test revealed a positive correlation between watching cartoons
and learning vocabulary. The result also indicated that there are significant differences in mean score
of students’ vocabulary knowledge.
