Abstract :
An alkylammonium molybdate composite is prepared from (NH4)6Mo7O24 · 4H2O and n-C18H37NH2 and its thin film is fabricated through a spin-on coating technique. Thermogravimetric analysis and elemental analysis results indicate that the main product of the composite is (C18H37NH3)5HMo7O24. The structure of the composite is laminated according to the X-ray diffraction pattern. The composite thin film exhibits reversible electrochromism. It is found that the composite thin film exhibits better electrochromic behavior in HCl aqueous solution than that in LiClO4/propylene carbonate solution.
