Abstract :
We have focused on the magnetic and electrical properties of a material of nominal composition Pr0.6Ba0.4CoO3−δ. Magnetic and EPR measurements, together with powder X-ray diffraction reveal that this material segregates into two closely related phases with different Curie temperatures. The observed results are discussed in the light of previously reported data and taking into account the role of inhomogeneities and disorder created by phase coexistence.
