Abstract :
The ligand 1,1′-bis(diphenylselenophosphoryl)ferrocene, dpspf, reacted with various Group 11 derivatives to afford the complexes [M(dpspf)]X (M=Cu, Ag, Au; X=OTf, ClO4, [AuCl2]). The crystal structure of [Au(dpspf)][AuCl2] revealed a trans coordination of the dpspf ligand and the presence of short Au–Au interactions in the cation. The complex [Ag(dpspf)]OTf can react further with bidentate ligands to give the four-coordinate complexes [M(dpspf)(LL)]OTf (LL=(SPPh2)2CH2, (SePPh2)2CH2, 2,2′-bipyridine or dpspf). The structure of the derivative with LL=(SPPh2)2CH2 was confirmed by X-ray diffraction.
