Abstract :
Neutral π-stacked tetragonal prismatic metallacycles were prepared from Re2(CO)10, water/biimidazole, and tetratopic nitrogen donors. The π-stacked supramolecular structure is formed via intermolecular π⋯π stacking interactions.
