Resolution and determination of the absolute configuration 2,2′-diacetyl-3,3′, 4,4′-tetramethyl-1,1′-diphosphaferrocenes

(±)-2,2′-diacetylyl-3,3′, 4,4′-tetramethyl-1,1′diphosphaferrocene (1) was resolved via semi preparative HPLC. The absolute configuration (−)-1 has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The circular dichroism spectra of the (1) are also reported and discussed.
