Synthesis of chromium aminocarbene complexes of diterpenoids

Chromium aminocarbene complexes of podocarpane diterpenoids have been synthesised in good to excellent yields, either by aminolysis of the corresponding alkoxycarbene, or by treatment of the morpholino amide with disodium pentacarbonylchromium and subsequent elimination of silyloxide.
