Synthesis and molecular structure of a novel ferrocene-containing macrocyclic acyl thiourea derivative

Reaction of 1,1′-bis[carbonyl isothiocyanate]ferrocene with 1,2-phenylenediamine affords both polymeric and macrocyclic products. The structure of the macrocyclic product was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and compared with those of other ferrocene-containing acyl thiourea derivatives obtained previously.
