Ferrocene derivatives (II). Synthesis and reactions of 4-ferrocenyl-2-thiazolamine

4-Ferrocenyl-2-thiazolamine (1) was prepared by the reaction of chloroacetylferrocene with thiourea. The thiazolimines 2–5 were synthesized by the condensations of the amine with aromatic aldehydes. The reaction of imine 2 with thioglycollic acid produced thiazolidone 6. All products were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H-NMR spectra.
