Organolanthanide chemistry in the gas phase

Gas-phase ion chemistry studies of lanthanide organometallic species have been performed, seeking differences and similarities with equivalent condensed-phase systems. Several examples of the work done are given, namely investigations of lanthanide–arene complexes, lanthanocenes, lanthanide alkoxides and aryloxides, and complexes with lanthanide–transition metal bonds.
