Applications of boron–nitrogen and boron–phosphorus adducts in organometallic chemistry

Aspects of useful applications of main group Lewis acid–base pairs for the synthesis of sophisticated organometallic architectures are reviewed. Special emphasis is put on the authorʹs own studies of boron–nitrogen and boron–phosphorus adducts and the relevance of the compounds obtained for the development of (i) organometallic materials, (ii) supramolecular entities and (iii) novel homogeneous catalysts.
