Abstract :
The pressure–temperature stability of Co56Fe16Zr8B20 amorphous alloys was investigated by energy dispersive X-ray diffraction. The in situ experiments were performed at the MAX80/F2.1 high-pressure beamline at the HASYLAB synchrotron radiation facility (Hamburg, Germany). Crystallization experiments were performed under different applied pressures up to 2 GPa. The effect of static pressure on the crystallization temperature stems from the pressure effect on the nucleation barriers and modified kinetics of solid-state diffusion under high-pressure–high-temperature conditions.
