Abstract
This paper is concerned with the pseudoelastic behavior of Shape Memory Alloys under general multiaxial loading paths. A phenomenological model, taking into account the tension-compression asymmetry effect, the temperature effect, the return point memory effect and the influence of the loading path nonproportionality on the SMA mechanical behavior, is proposed. This model is shown to give good results for the prediction of uniaxial tests, multiaxial proportional tests and very complex multiaxial nonproportional tests.
