Stress analysis in two dimensional electrostrictive material with an elliptic rigid conductor

This paper presents the governing equations of electrostrictive materials. The stress and electric field solutions for an infinite plate with a rigid elliptic conductor under applied load at infinity are given. The asymptotic expansions of the solution for a narrow elliptic conductor show that the stresses and the electric fields near the end of a narrow elliptic conductor possess r −1 and r − 1 / 2 forms respectively in a local coordinate system with the origin at its focus.
