Abstract
The discrete Huygensʹ modelling is used to simulate the process of the Huygensʹ principle in a discrete sense. The method and the modelling were proposed with the demonstration of possible fields of applications. In the present paper, an extension is made to the acoustic problems in which the propagation velocity varies depending on the environment. The two cases are considered, one is the case when the propagation velocity is dependent on the location but independent of the propagation direction. This case is demonstrated for the sound propagation in the ocean. Another is the case when the propagation speed depends on the direction of the propagation. This case is demonstrated for sound propagation in the medium with mean flow.
