Abstract
Multi-sensor system is elaborated providing recognition of the graphic images (imprints) of nitroethane vapor. This unit operates with a high speed in the range of concentrations of nitroethane vapour equal to 5×10−3–7.5×10−2 g/m3; it is simple to operate and is easily calibrated. The possibility of an express qualitative and quantitative analysis of the samples is attained due to the use of algorithm for image recognition of nitroethane. Multi-sensor system can be applied for monitoring of pollution of the environment. It is able to learn and adapt for the recognition of vapors of different substances and it can be considered as a prototype of the “electronic nose”.
