Abstract :
An electrophoretic deposition (ED) method was applied for the preparation of SrTi1−xMgxO3−δ films for oxygen sensor application. Dense SrTi1−xMgxO3−δ films with uniform thickness can be readily prepared with the ED method by acetons, methanol and isobutyl acetate as a solvent. The SrTi1−xMgxO3−δ films has been studied from the viewpoint for a lean-burn oxygen sensor. The sensitivity characteristics of the specimens have been investigated. The experimental results show all specimens exhibit the characteristics of p-type semiconductor in the learn-burn region (102 Pa<Po2<104 Pa). The 35 mol% Mg-doped SrTiO3 specimen reveals the best oxygen sensing properties.
