Abstract :
The nonlinearity of the current–voltage characteristics has been observed in thin films of the tin oxide exposed to strong electric fields. The experimental data are discussed assuming the drift-type behavior of the absorbed ions along the surface. The observed phenomena allow application for both air contamination detection and the contamination identification.
