Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a multiwavelet compression strategy for the boundary integral equation on an open wedge by defining a singular distance. Based on the multiwavelet compression strategy, a multiwavelet Galerkin method is applied for this integral equation to obtain a sparse coefficient matrix with the O ( ( N ) 1 + 1 / 2 m ( log N ) 1 / m ) significant matrix entries.
