Abstract :
A new family of invariants for binary linear codes is introduced. In the 3-dimensional case a particular set of the new invariants is shown to determine code equivalence. Each selection of a set of invariants gives rise to a generalized weight distribution, which satisfies MacWilliams type constraints when certain additional conditions are imposed.
