Lifetime resolved fluorescence detection in chromatography. Global analysis of emission decay surfaces

Time resolved fluorescence detection adds another dimension to chromatography. Global analysis of the measured emission decay surfaces results in reliable lifetimes and concentration profiles for unknown and severely, up to completely, overlapping peak systems. The limits of the proposed algorithm are tested for three-component overlapping peak clusters with respect to chromatographic resolution, lifetime similarities, relative concentration (minor components), and data noise levels.
