Analysis of the post-buckling behavior of a purlin built from thin-walled cold-formed C profile

The paper presents an example of the design of a simply supported C purlin according to the European and Polish standards that create possibility of acquirement material savings by taking into consideration the post-buckling state of the section. The results obtained according to the standard way are compared with the numerical results by means of program [MARC MSC.MARC vK7.3 User Manual. Theory, MARC Analysis Reasearch Corp., 1998, USA].
