Abstract
This paper presents and discusses the results of wind tunnel measurements of the pressure distributions on a 2D square cylinder in cross-flows at 3 different turbulence levels. Differential pressures across the lateral sides of the model were sampled simultaneously to give sets of signals at 5 different distances from the front surface. Power spectra, cross-spectra, coherence and normalised co-spectra of these signals were calculated. It was found that increasing turbulence in the flow caused a reduction in the normalised co-spectra at low frequencies and a reduction in the peak of power spectra at the shedding frequency.
