Abstract :
In this work results of structural, magnetic and thermal properties of Nd3Ag4Ge4 compound are reported. The compound crystallises in the orthorhombic Gd3Cu4Ge4-type crystal structure (Immm space group). Rare earth ions occupy two inequivalent positions (2d and 4e) exhibiting different point symmetries. For this family it is often an origin of complex magnetic properties. However, the compound orders magnetically at 6.4 K and both magnetic sublattices exhibit simple antiferromagnetic ordering.
