A laser system for pollution detection

Pollution detection was made for various water samples and industrial material specimens by using a laser detection system. In this paper, the developed laser system was used to measure the absorbance and particle quantity of water samples and the reflectivity of polished and unpolished industrial specimens. This system is also designed to operate as a range finder based on the principle of continuous amplitude modulation (100 MHz) of the light intensity and the determination of phase difference between the transmitted and the received signals.
