Elastic plate in gas flow: Reducing from anisotropy to orthotropy

The problem of elastic plates, which is under combined action of supersonic gas flow, mechanical transversal load and mechanical tangential following load, is considered. It is proved that the solution of this problem (in particular, flutter problem) for each anisotropic scalar-non-homogeneous plate may be obtained through the experiment with the only orthotropic plate. The examples are given and generalization on plasticity is noted.
