Abstract :
Mass and dimensions of a reactive filtering circuit are determined by the maximum stored (reactive) energy in its elements. This paper investigates the energy characteristics for singlyterminated reactive filters. Such filter connection mode is typical for powerful key converting devices.
ored energy is determined by the filter complex transfer function. On the basis of the relationships obtained, the ways to decrease the energy, and the corresponding mass-dimensional characteristics of reactive filter have been outlined. The results of numerical analysis of the energy functions of the chebyshev and Butterworth LC filters are given.
