  • Abstract
    We construct a topological symmetric spectrum in the sense of Hovey et al. (Symmetric Spectra, preprint, 1998), that represents (periodic) topological real K-theory. The construction is geometric and may be regarded as an ad hoc proof of KO being an E∞-ring spectrum.
