Legendre polynomials of the second kind, Fourier series and Lagrange interpolation

The distribution of the zeros of Jacobi polynomials of the second kind pm(wα, β) is studied, and lower and upper bounds for the corresponding Christoffel functions are given. Fourier expansions in the system {pm(wα, β)} are also considered. Moreover, some theorems on the convergence of Lagrange interpolating polynomials based on the zeros of pm(wα, β) are proved.
