Alternating forms and transitive locally grid geometries

Shult proved that a geometric hyperplane of the d -Grassmann space is precisely the set of degenerate d -spaces for some fixed alternating d -linear form. Here the attenuated and Pfaffian geometric hyperplanes are discussed and characterized in terms of the action of the associated isometry group on the hyperplane complement.
