Abstract
We obtain Wong-type comparison theorems for second order linear dynamic equations on a time scale. The results obtained extend and are motivated by Wongʹs comparison theorems. As a particular application of our results, we show that the difference equation Δ 2 x ( n ) + b ( − 1 ) n n c x ( n + 1 ) = 0 where c < 1 , b ≠ 0 , is oscillatory.
